June 19. I. Sierra Leoneans Cuisine 2: Macondo Fish and Cassaba Root

Sierra Leoneans like fish. Here is Macondo fish that I tried for the first time. Cassaba root looked like potato, and it also tasted like potato. When I first heard Cassaba, I was wondering how Sierra Leoneans eat wood; boil the wood and eat? Haha. My ignorance was just revealed. Wherever in the world, people cook food appetizing, just like ball-sized Cassaba root food. It is a tropical vegetable in Latin America and Africa; it helps people’s diets, but it does not contain nutrition, rather, it has high toxin, so it has to be treated very well before we consume.
